For as long as I can remember, St Joseph’s Center has been a part of my life. Literally some of my first memories are from the St. Joe’s Festival (then, the “St Joe’s Fair”) in the parking lot of the Adams Ave campus. The whole parking lot is on a slope, so it’s amazing a “fair” ever came to fruition, but it did. And that’s the magic of St Joe’s. Its volunteers and staff know no bounds when it comes to serving those who cannot help themselves. They/we see the dignity God places in each human life, and how delicate that life is. At the end of the day, and each festival, we are just filled with gratitude for getting to be a part of each one.
